This is the third piece in a botanical collection called Wildly. Each piece in the collection is made with acrylic, watercolor, and gelli-plate printing. The backgrounds are created by building layers of acrylic paint using a gelli plate. The cow parsley plant was painted on top in digital watercolour.
Nature is a constant; even in the season changes, there is predictability in the flowers and plants we see at certain times of the year, which I find comforting. I am fascinated by the finite detail of nature, every vein in a leaf and petal is different to the next, and there are a trillion of them!
